I hate everybody. So there.

10:22pm: Best birthday of all!
It's almost my birthday! My ELEVENTH birthday. ELEVEN. That's the MOST IMPORTANT BIRTHDAY OF ALL!

It means I get a proper wand of my very own! And a brand new broom! And LOTS of new clothes. And I'll need a trunk for when I go to Hogwarts --

WHEN do I get my Hogwarts letter? I'll get it soon, won't I? And I can bring Bloody Kneazle with me, can't I? And I don't have to live at home, I can live at school with the other kids, can't I? What about the Hogwarts Express? Will I have to go all the way to London just to come all the way back, do you think?

12:16pm: My Birthday List
On Sunday, I will be TEN years old. That's almost eleven, and that means almost Hogwarts!

So just in case anyone is still wondering what to get me for my birthday, which is a VERY IMPORTANT birthday because it's DOUBLE DIGITS, I have a list. Here it is.

Ahoy Dads! I'm busy mooring up the Marauder in Hogwarts Lake but I wanted to let you know the moment I arrived. I can't wait to see you -- it's been far too long! Come down to the picnic before I eat everything on the buffet. After six months of bak kut teh and fishballs I'm dying for a Hogwarts feast.

Tati -- wait until you see your birthday presents! And I have un-birthday presents for you too, Otek.

Dear Journal,

I know Tati thinks he's a pissant pillock, but I think he's very nice. He nodded at me and spoke to me and almost smiled! And his sister is very friendly, I like her a lot and she says I can come play with them again.

He's grumpy, but so is Strycek Professor. And he's a very good fighter, just like Tati! And he likes school like Otek, and he's quite handsome. His hair is floppy like Harry's. And he smells nice too. I don't like it that he said I was a liar, though! I am not! I haven't told anyone about them! I don't know why it's so important, but I didn't! And I don't know why I can't talk about it with them! THEY know they're wolves, and Tati and Otek know they're wolves, and there was nobody else around! Only nasty people don't like wolves, and Otek says if more people knew that there were nice wolves people wouldn't be so nasty. And I bet more people know about them than they think. But I still won't tell!

He said he'd help Otek, and that means he's very nice indeed. I wonder if he likes me?

He is very old, though.

12:49pm: Harry, can I ask you a question? I got a book for Christmas that talks about you, but they got it all wrong.

8:58am: We're HOME! And it's my BIRTHDAY! I'm NINE! That's almost TEN!

6:42pm: I have a BICYCLE! A real Muggle bicycle! My Tati gave it to me because he says I'm the best girl ever! It's PURPLE and it has a bell and a basket and EVERYTHING! It's wobblier than a broom but I can almost ride it and soon I'll ride it EVERYWHERE!

My Favourite Animal

My favourite animal is wolves. Wolves are like dogs only different. Long ago there were only wolves but then some wolves wanted to live with people and turned into dogs. Now there are both. I like dogs too but I can only write about one animal so I write about wolves.

I like wolves because they live in families called packs. All the wolves in the pack love each other lots even when they fight. When they fight they have an Otek alpha that makes them be good. Even when they fight they all like to play with cubs.

There are lots of scary stories about bad wolves and that is sad. I think there are good wolves and bad wolves just like people. Most wolves are good. Good wolves never eat hurt people unless people are bad and hurt them first. I think there should be more stories about good wolves and then people would not be scared.

My name is Artemisia Sophia Lupin. I live in the house with blue shutters on Shell Road with my Otek and my Tati and my elf Tully dog Snuffles. We come from Scotland where it is cold and rainy. We live here now because it is warm and sunny and there is rum. I like it here because there are lots of pirates in history here and I am going to be a pirate when I grow up.

Artemisia is a flower. It has other names as well. It is called wormwood and also mugwort so my name is Wort too so Billy Hynes must not call me Arty because that is a stupid name. I like to swim lots and dig on the beach and play fizbee frisbee with my Tati dog. I like to sing and draw and read books with Otek. I like Kippling best because there is singing and Mowgli is my favourite. I like to play with my Little Witch Wendy and my Pixie Ponies dolls and toys. I used to have a broom but there are no brooms here so I want a purple bicycle.
